The path to attracting what we want into our lives begins with setting our intention, followed by detailed visualization and thorough planning, then taking action to set everything into motion. At some point we will may find that our efforts don’t seem to be creating as much momentum as we had hoped.
When we are working on bringing a new experience into our lives we find ourselves in undiscovered territory. We are developing skills we have yet to acquire, we’re pursuing knowledge and gathering information that we did not previously have. Experience may indeed be the best teacher, but when our mistakes outweigh our accomplishments, we might find ourselves getting discouraged, becoming tempted to turn around, give up, abandon our endeavors altogether.
It is at this point we would do well to solicit the knowledge, experience, and assistance of people who are well versed in the particular area in which we are working. At times it is tempting to try to go it alone, to see how far we are able to get with our own fortitude and determination. We might feel that asking for help is a sign of weakness, or potentially putting ourselves in a position of dependency. As a result, we allow pride to take over, feeling that we can only grow through each futile attempt at progress, meanwhile we are unwittingly undermining ourselves.
Seeking help and assistance in furthering ourselves is a true sign of growth. When we are able to do this we recognize our limitations. Without knowing our limits we are unable to move through them and overcome them. The wisdom and talents of those more experienced than us allows us to reserve our energy otherwise expended on frustration while carrying us even further toward our goals.
